I was just remembering the MOST memorable 4th of July ever. Jill, Brian, Mark and Amy will remember we went over to the base and, all expectant, saw about 1 minute of the fireworks, then the ground all lit up. We waited for the display, then realized that america's finest had set the field on fire! We all trooped back to the cars and the drive home. haha I noticed that did not make the base newspaper the next week.
Kind of awkward having the 4th of July on a fast sunday--so we went to church and there were so few people that they had a little potluck after where we hung around and talked (Remember our church is from 1pm to 4 pm), then we had a nap and went over to the fireworks on the army base nearest to us. That was an excellent display...
So we celebrated on Monday
Well, those ponies are still there and these 2 came down to the beach and went trolling from umbrella to umbrella looking for food. They opened a cooler, and stepped on a bag of chips to open it--these ponies are used to people. But they are wild and so you can't shoo them away. Your dad protected the lunch of these people next to us who were swimming and unaware of potato-chip-eating ponies.
