...and here I am stranded in Babylon" (I live in Las Vegas, and make no mistake, Babylon is where we live).......
is what I said to my husband when the government shut down for the 4th time in our working lives (though some times have been short)

Kris is 2 kinds of a saint, for sure. "Not so, my Lemon Slice, it's Free speech, chocolatina," he says. "You fight free speech with more free speech"
I am mollified (It's being called "Lemon Slice" that does it.)

He reminded me of the Whisky Rebellion, the Black Panther raids in the civil rights upheaval, and US Civil War--"that's when they were REALLY ruining their country. Right now they're just arguing, he said. No one is getting killed, no buildings are set on fire...we've actually come a long way.
