Kris had one LAST Air Force conference in Ottawa, so we drove up, stayed in the fine, (old) Hotel Laurier, right by Parliament Hill, ate and danced on a boat on the Ottawa River. It was a wonderful luxury, paid for (mostly) by the Canadian Air Force. (and here I thought there weren't any benefits to being a military wife)
We stopped by Niagara Falls too, but the most wonderful thing was to see the Savinskys. It seems they haven't changed at all, and it was such a pleasure to see and talk with them, though we had only a few hours.
